Chief: back around 1946, i bought an Indian Hiway patrol motorcycle for $200. It had the springer front fork, non skirted fenders, and a big Indian decal on the side! That may have been hand painted, don"t know if they had decals then! It also had the extra "stop-needle" in the speedometer, which told the cop how fast you had been going when he got you stopped!
I can relate to the guy who had trouble kick starting it! I weighed about 125 lbs and had to really "dance" on it to get it to turn over!
A guy who had bought a new Harley Hydra-glide challenged me to a race. My 250 lb. buddy rode the bike, and beat that guy hands down! It was really fast!
Finally sold it when i got married! Got $100 for it! Wish i had kept it!
