john_bud: You are wrong in one aspect of what you said. You are NOT reqired to have a CDL until you reach 26,000 lbs gvw. Anything over 10,000 lbs if you haul for hire you need to do the log book deal if you travel more than 100 miles. Rich Iowa As far as hualing the oliver with the F250m yes I would if it were mine. just make sure you know what you are doing as far as loading it, tieing it down, and driving it. You need more braking room when stopping. Do NOT get in a hury when pulling this tractor, take your time. I pull 2 John Deeres (13000 lbs of tractor) about 3000 miles a year localy to tractor pulls with a 3/4 GMC (350 motor) and a gooseneck (20,000 rating) a year. I do not have any problems with this set up. I also have been driveing semi for 20 some years, so I have some back ground to hauling. I do not have the power that I need but I do not get in any hury at all. Remember to ALWAYS have plenty of room between you and the guy in front of you. When you come to a trafic light anticipate it will change to red on you. Make sure your brakes are up to snuf, this includes your trailer brakes. If your trailer has the surge brakes you will be in for a treat. My first trailer had the surge and that trailer only last about 3 months before it got sold. They are not very good at all in my mind. A goose neck is the way to go, but a bumper hitch is fine if that is what you got. BUDD

The draft forces are
