Right. There will soon be a worn bore if you are injecting deisel and it is not burning. First swap the injector with another to determine whether it is the cylinder or the injector (assuming valve clearances are all OK). Next, if miss moves with injector, rectify same, or if it is the cylinder find out why - gasket, valve(s) bad, rings. A compressed air test should indicate where compression is lost if that is the problem. Severe crankcase breathing will also be evident if all compression is going to the bottom end. Check valve lifts on the bad cylinder as a cam lobe may be shot. Get back to us with your findings, so we can stop worrying about your problem or suggest the next move from wherever you are at.
