My torpedo heater says you can burn K-1, diesel or JP-8 in it but I burned diesel in it and it did smell a bit more than the K-1. I use it in the garage attached to the house so I don't want alot of smell. Might be okay for a shed or barn. Diesel is only 10-15 cents cheaper around here.
