Unless ya have the special tools from what i am told it is imposible as the scyro's have to be heated to be installed and ya have to have the holding fixture to disassamble and reassamble and at one time when i thought that i had a tranny problem with my 88 and barrowed the factory book from what i saw i realydid not want to get into it and started pricing trannys and found out that a rebuild was 1850 bucks my cost and i could get a NEW one form ford at my cost for 1375 HUMMMmmmm. When i found my problem it was not the trans but the noise was telagrahen from the rear end and it was a wiped ring and pinion because of a crush spacer that crushed more . So before ya jump in with a rebuild if ya got a buddy that works for Ford have him check his cost on NEW before rebuild. Just might supprise ya.
