What you are seeing is the Primer Paint for the top Coating. Aluminum Siding is Painted although some people seem to think it is a Color clear thru.Coil Aluminum Sheet is run thru a Coating Line at the Factory where Primer and Paint are applied. Siding can be repainted if Directions from the Paint Mfg. are followed. Air less Spray is the method of choice. Prepare the surface. mask off Windows Doors etc.Prime Bare spots and apply at least two coats of recommend Paint. Enjoy another 35 years.Less costly than Resideing.
