txgrn: No apploigies necessary to this old red guy. I farmed with Farmalls all my life, 16 of them bought new or close to new. My last new tractor was a 6 cylinder turbo charged diesel Deere. 13,000 hours to it's first engine rebuild and it fired up better in cold weather than any of my three Farmall 6 cylinder diesels. Not hard to see why those once red farms are now green. Now, if you want to go back to the old gassers of the 50s RED had you beat. Those old 6 volt 4 cylinder gassers would fire up in any weather. My experience was H, 300 and 130, -25F didn't fizz them a bit. Dad and I once started the 6 volt 300, unassisted by any means, at -40 in an open field. On the way to field in pickup, dad said, "I hope it doesn't start, one of us is going have to drive it home." Guess who got elected.
