Unless you can see dirt or sludge in the oil,get an oil analysis. Different oils will turn black faster then others. That is just their chemical makeup. I work on a off-shore supply vessel with 149 liter engines and we change the oil every 4000 hours. Now of course we send oil for analysis every 500 hours. But we do not gauge the oil by how black it is. As the other responder also said. It is suppose to be getting black. I would worry if my oil stayed the same color after a day or two. The best way is to send the oil out. Also try to find dirt with some drops of oil on a white tissue. the only real way to tell is to send it away for testing.
