About 15 years ago I ran across a repower kit which Cummins used to put out to repower pickups with their 5.9 liter engines. The local Cummins distributor used to be able to get them but they have since closed. I 've noticed a website now called Fordcummins.com that has repower kits to put a cummins engine in a ford pick-up. They also have kits for Chevy too. They will even do the engine swap if you want. Don't know if its the same kit Cummins used to put out or not. They even have all the computer controls required to make todays electronic transmissions work with the Cummins engine. Its a neat idea, just don't know how practical it is.
