I had the choke stop working on the Volkswagen engine with Solex carb in my 115 spra-coupe. You need to have 12V at the choke coil terminal any time the ignition is on. With mine the electric choke cover was ok,but the little lever on the choke shaft had broken off,so the thermostatic choke coil could not operate the choke . I was able to solder the broken lever back together,so did not ask the dealer if the part could be purchased seperatly.
