I'm sure if he knew it was ice he would'nt have been doing 58 mph. That's the bad thing about black ice, it's sometimes very hard to see. I was driving a ford 9000 truck making a delivery once when I hit a car. I was pulling into a parking lot at a brand new building with fresh blacktop. There was about half an inch of snow, thin enough that you could see the lines on the parking lot. I was pulling around so I could back up to the delivery door and doing about 10 mph. I went to stop but the parking lot was not properly level so there was clear "black ice". I hit a parked car broadside and I thought I totalled it. It was on ice too so it slid about 20 feet sideways. All I did was break the rear view mirror and put a black mark on the door. So the point is don't flame the guy who is trying to prevent us from making the same mistake and giving some glory to God.
