Do you know the model number of the tractor? Normally you should see this on the side of the hood above the engine. For instance my Massey Ferguson says 135 on the side of the hood. That would help anyone point you in the right direction. Also, once you have identified the model number you can purchase an owner's manual for the tractor (your dad may even have one somewhere). That manual would help you tremendously with the questions that you have.
