casting codes

I just registered my C on this forum and was wondering where one could find the "Casting codes"? I have found numbers on the final drives and on the torque tubes, are these it? Would like to know? Also, I am guessing these codes are date and plant codes. If so, where can I go to decode those? Thanks to all in advance for the help.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead!
