I just got burned on an eBay tractor. Be careful. Guy wasn't available to let me see it in advance (first red flag). I bid anyway based on his representation as to "a little white smoke [when first started]" and "good mechanical condition." Regrettably, I "won" the auction. Long story short, I sent a check and went to pick it up. It didn't appear to be in as good a condition as he represented but I'm not the kind to back out of a deal lightly. It smoked a ton and stopped cold right after I drove it out of his gate. The guy just said "your tractor" so I'm suing for deceptive trade practices. Can anyone tell me if there is a standard or definition for levels of "mechanical condition" in tractors? Do excellent, good, fair, poor, etc. mean anything? Thanks
