Agree on your drain back. Not restricted to the 4430, nor Deere. Common occurrence; longer it sits and colder it is the worse it is. Solution could be to insure that your lift and anything else hydraulic is in the lowered position and leave it there till the fluid has had time to circulate. Had one tractor that I thought I needed mains cause of bad noises at startup (I'm kinda real deaf). Turned out it was nothing more than my hydraulics coming up to position rattling like you mentioned. Beins I had just paid $17k for that thing I was real glad I had misdiagnosed the noise; real glad....especially since the tractor only had 3900 hrs on it. Mark
