Chris, I have been waiting for some one to jump on this and so far doesn't look real promising. I would assume you have worked for someone else to get a realistic grip on the subject, or I hope this is not something you just want to start into and make a profit with out knowing the trade some what. I would say find out what the competition is doing and do a few free jobs and establish what time frame you are talking and go from there. In order to set the price We would have to know some idea of your general knowledge, equipment, general rates in your area. The word landscaping covers a pretty big variety. Are you buldozing, planting trees, seeding etc. I would pay alot of money for a skid loader with a landscape rake than a man with a wheelborrow, rake and shovel. Some things you will have to check is insurance liability limits and cost, a tax work up by a CPA may well be in order. You can pick and choose most of this stuff. Some work is done by the sq ft, or by the hr. per machine, it all depends what is accepted in your area. Perhaps talking to a green house or a developer is a good way to get the word out, as well as suggestions for price. Good Luck Dave NE IA
