Doesn't matter who you agree with or not. What matters is that all this is whizzing against the wind. Sooner or later it'll come back at us or our kids. Population growth is inevitable, need for oil and gas is inevitable as is the growing world demand. What is needed is a brand new technology which eliminates the use of gas/diesel completely. Without that, the crunch will come. We have about 300 years worth of coal supply in this country and that could be converted to some sort of diesel fuel, still, in 100 years the US population will be in excess 500 million and the world population will probably be at 8-9 billion and what then? 100 years sounds like a long time until you think about it when you hit 60 or so and figure out just how fast it went by.
