Hi 37 chief. I have an update for you. My boy just stopped in,i told him about your problem. When his truck was new,15000 miles, the front end and steering got to popping, clunking, jumping, shaking, steering hard. He took it to the dealer and it had two teeth broken off of the power steering pump. I had forgotten that. Sounds something like yours. That was an outer u-joint that went bad on it. When i was turning the rotar i could see the axle moving out of center. I forgot but he said you could grab the rotar and shake the joint. Hope this helps. Charley.
