Farmall M........water in oil

I have a Farmall M that has water in the oil. I was going to replace the head gasket but someone told me it was probably a hole in one of the sleeves. I have been searching for sleeves and it seems there are several different ones. How do I know which one i need? Is there a number on the block that i can use? Thanks for any help.
