This 9n I have seems to me runs to darn hot! After posting my last crack exhaust manifold article, I now installed a new manifold and this 9n ran alot better and totally quiet. I have 18 acreas but only cut about 2-3 with the 9n. But now I notice the heat from the engine is more it seems to me. And sometimes when I turn it off it overheat's out the rad cap. I check the water pump belt, it seems tight enough>but on the alternator fins I can't turn there, but if I try to turn the pump it turns easy. What's up with that, I even try to tighten it up even more but I don't know if the pump is slipping or not, while it's running. The two pulley's or different in depth, maybe I need a special belt. I don't even know where the thermo is located at. I don't want to burn this tractor up from overheating! But I don't really know exactlly what the problem is or where the problem is. The fluid is full and green the tractor was tune-up last year which it runs great now but overheats. The oil is full and clean> Any pointers????????
