We had some info postings on Canadian health care couple months back, medical attention fair, disasterous illness cost is less for patient, some waiting for heart and kidney work. Financing was a combination of low premiums backed by VAT- what amounts to sales tax-,a bit of gas tax, some income tax share to provincial governments. Docs can do medical treatment outside of health plan to non resident/non citizens of Canada for cash -thats the american and other patients. Works fairly good for the population, some gripes about waiting for some procedures, some docs head to US for high $ practice. RN.
