It really is a mattter of personal preference but at $3600, which I think is a little pricey, I would continue to look around. Power steering is a nice feature on a tractor and I would not want to do without it. If you work this tractor hard it is going to consume its share of gas. Diesels are much more efficient and if you keep the fuel clean and the filters changed they are cheap to keep. If my budget allowed $3600 for a tractor I would shop around for a newer tractor such as a Ford 3000 or 3600. I own neither at this time as my requirements are for larger HP. These Ford tractors have fantastic reputations and if my needs called for a machine in this catagory this is what I would own. I have owned or still own a 9N Ford, a 8N Ford, Int 340, Int 574,Int 474, MF 135, B Allis C.,Cub, Ford Jubilee, Int 986, plus several newer tractors that I farm with.I list these to support the fact that I am fairly qualified to make the recommendation and that I should know from experience and exposure. I do my own repairs and I have been farming most of my adult life and I am nearing retirement. Good luck to you. Just do not get over anxious. Get all the tractor you can for your money
