You can get them all stuck, even with chains and duals etc.. but yes, chains would have perhaps helped on regular tractor tread tires, but if all you wanted to do was operate your tractor in soft wet soil conditions like you did today, then a set of rice and cane tires would be just the thing. Only trouble with rice and cane tires is they are not good for much else, they give a terrible ride down the road, they have very deep tread but are made of hard rubber so on hard sufaces, especially ice, they don't proform very good, they are a very expensive tire and you can't run them with low pressure because those hard rubber lugs will break and they will be pretty much ruined. M's and H's are excellent tractors, and it does take alot to get one stuck, they have lots of ground clearance and are about the best tractors to have in snow with chains on, next to a mfwd. I know from experience you must have found an awful sink hole to stick an M witout it towing something or haveing something extra on it such as a loader.
