Hey guys, can any of you tell me what the gestation period is for a dog? When I used to have several females I had them all fixed after the first litter. That's been nearly 10 years ago and I can't seem to remember how long they carried a litter before they were born. We've got a stray that came up a few months back and she was the sweetest dog you'll ever find so we let her stay. She's got long, sorta reddish, gold hair, about the color of a golden retriever, a flop ear on the left side, and she likes to "talk" to you when she first sees you in the morning. She went in heat about a month and a half ago and best I could tell her and our short haired, black, male lab and ??? mix were an exclusive item. In fact she wouldn't let any of the other males in the neighborhood even get close to her. If the pups have even half the looks and personality of the parents their gonna be great dogs. So, if any of you are in the Concord, NC area and are in need of a good "country dog" let me know. The way she's hanging I know we're gonna have some before too long.
