can't use my old handle anymore. myself I could not charge 1.75-2.25 a bale to someone I even remotely know. based on 5 acres first crop at 100 bales to the acre at 2.00 thats a cool grand nice money considering i can cut in 1.5-2 hours rake in 1-1.25 hour and bale in roughly 3-4 all going good anyway. That's all told well over 100 bucks an hour. And just so you know i don't run big fancy equipment 5g tractor 750 baler 300 v-rake. In my mind I would prefer trade off of some sort either labor or part of the hay I can buy hay from the field for less than 2.00 per bale. just my two cents my charge would be down near a buck a bale. This year maybe fuel surcharge of 10-15 cents a bale.
