Another tragic tractor accident claims a native South Dakotan. Mr. Lindahl was the founding director of the Lake Area Technical Institute here in Watertown, SD back in 1965. Don devoted his life to education. Lots of young people got off to a good start because of him.

"Man killed in tractor mishap
A 71-year-old Lino Lakes man died Thursday after an accident involving a tractor, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office. Donald Lindahl died at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale after a tractor tipped over on him Monday. The sheriff's office said Lindahl's wife, Faith, was driving a pickup truck that got stuck on the Lindahls' property in Lino Lakes. Donald Lindahl reportedly borrowed a tractor to pull the truck free. In the process of getting the truck out, the tractor tipped and crushed him. Lindahl was an educator who received his bachelor's degree from South Dakota State University and a doctorate in education from Oregon State University. He worked at several schools and retired from Bethel University in Arden Hills after working in development. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Roseville."
