There never was a plow that you had to turn a crank to lift, either clutch lift or hydrolic. Some were made with a crank for leveling but once you got the plow set to go and leveled you did not touch that crank untill you had to start or finnish a land. Are you confusing a crank assembly that you could put in instead of a cylinder for storage or transport with a tractor without hydrolics or your truck? That is what some of the other posters are refering to.
