Had to laugh when I logged in this evening! First, on customer service... I'm helping a friend who is the IT Director of a large "Life Community" -- at one site, they go from independent cottages, to independent living in apartments, rehab care, "enhanced living", all the way to skilled nursing. Heck, they even have a hotel for visiting relatives! They're opening a *huge* apartment addition, and I've gone from sitting in my chair doing "high-end" computer work to rolling up my sleeves doing some grunt work to help them meet their punch list items (I was installing telephones & cable TV filters today). Anyway, on customer service, one thing I noticed is anytime anyone looked "lost" (people who had leased or looking to leased sometimes would wander in) my friend or even one of the big bosses would stop mid-sentence, see if they could help them, even to the point of walking them to the right person's office, etc. And this at a time all the managers are stressing out trying to make sure they open on schedule. It was *very* obvious they had been reminded customer was #1. As for Shipping & Hauling, I'm bringing a PC down to a remote office about 90 miles away for them Friday AM. And as I told him, I'm charging him time *AND* mileage for that one!

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro
