Like others have said these companies feel like they don't have to provide customer service because they know there's someone else out there more than willing to take your place if they lose your business. The bad thing is nowdays many of them simply don't care because they have a monopoly on the part, sevice, etc, you need. They know even if they treat you like dirt you've either got to come back to them the next time because there's nowhere else to go or make a change to another company that's gonna be just as bad or worse.......It's a no win situation no matter what you do.....Even if we can't win though we can get ahead once in a while by passing on info about companies with sorry customer service and warning potential customers away from them. I had a company awhile back that didn't honor a warranty on a hydraulic pump that failed 8 months into a year warranty. The cause was obviously a defect from when they built the pump but they kept trying to pin it on bad oil and other things even the dealership told me was BS. I told them they could cover the warranty or I'd make sure I cost them more than that in lost business. The last time I looked one of the posts I had placed had over 100 hits and I turned two outfits locally away from them. They might not go under because of me but just the two local outfits not doing business with them for the pumps they neded repaired has already cost them way more than the price of repairing my pump under warranty would have. Like I said we might not ever really win, but we can always put points on the board.....Just my .02

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
