Allan, 14.9x38 would be a little bit narrow on a 12 inch rim, but will work fine. I don't know if you are anywhere near a Nebraska Tire dealer, but normally Bruce at the Firth store has the best deals. If you are unable to find 14.9's go for the 16.9's not the 15.5's. I always figured going bigger is better. JohnG
