I'd ask the doctors first. I can't imagine being jostled around for a prolonged period of time on a tractor can feel good or be helpful to an already known bad back. I know there are times when I climb down from one and the back smarts pretty good, and my back isn't even bad as far as I know. Maybe check with seat manufacturers, even truck seat manufacturers. I've gotta think that truck drivers have to have some of the worst backs, but seat suspension and ergonomically designed seats have come a long ways, just a little late for some of them. Something else you mentioned, is on disability. Perception counts for a lot. Right, wrong, or indifferent, someone might see him doing something that they think violates a disability, and no one (government, insurance companies, businesses) wants to pay for disabilities, especially if they can avoid or get out of it. Whatever physical activeties your friend takes part in, really should have doctors approval so it doesn't come back to haunt him by misperception from someone looking not to pay, and then charge back. Just a thought. Mark

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
