In my case it's, probably a case of the tractor making me what I am in a round about way. Dad grew up on his grandpa's tobacco farm. As it has been told to me, like any kid Dad didn't listen very well sometimes. So when his grandpa told him not to pull one of the smaller tractors out of a huge mud puddle with a much larger tractor, he went ahead and did it anyway. Problem was as he pulled the smaller machine out it hung up on a stump and he nearly pulled it in half. His grandpa made him repair it which got him interested in mechanic work. So, Dad grew up interested in and doing mechanic work so as I was growing up that's what I got interested in too. Now Dad and I work together as heavy equipment/crane mechanics. I love any kind of machine, wether it's something small like my old HB212 AC lawn tractor or a 250,000+ pound crane that can lift 100 tons. The older the better.......
