Put it under a good load before the cylinders have a chance to glaze, or the rings may never fully seat... That would be within the first 20 minutes... Get the engine FULLY HOT..like it would be if you worked it for at least one full hour..THEN, re-torque the head and it should not need another re-torque.. Running the engine until it is fully Heat-saturated is very important, to get the head bolts and studs expanded, before re-torqueing..
