my stupid sepentine belt on my 6.2 chevy diesel

ok I know it's a piece of crap lol but it's all ii have. but anyways my darn belt keeps on jumping off. I bought 3 new belts already!!!! does anyone know what that pump thinger is that the belt drives. maybe that is the problem it seems to be turning funny. lol I have a boyfriend that doesn't know which way to turn a wrench maybe one of you real men could help me......please. thanks boys. tam
