A couple of things to add to the other excellent comments: don't leave your Fergie in gear when you shut it off. It will lock in gear quite easily and then you can't shift it to start without help. Get the over-running coupler. I didn't and ended up terrified all of the time when running the bush hog. One badly sprained wrist from an encounter with a stump and the tractor belly-hung over a boulder were my only mishaps because of the fly wheel effect, though. Mow early and often. It is nerve-wracking to drive blindly through 6' orchard grass at the speeds you need to go in order to mow the stuff. Wash the dust out of the radiator vanes frequently with a garden hose and your Fergie won't overheat as much. Enjoy.
