Hey old, what you wanna bet that with a new coil it'll run right? I was working on an old red seal for a buddy last week. It acted for all the world like it was starving for fuel, or had a vacuum leak. Bugger would idle all day, start first crack like nothing, but be dammed if it had any power. Give it any throttle, and it would just stagger and quit. Put a new coil on it, and it runs fine. It sure had me, because I never heard of or saw a coil go quite like that. One never really knows.... Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
