Mike, I removed the wheel from my 1973 Ford 2000 a couple of years ago when I rebuilt the steering box. After thinking, without actually uttering, many of Fawteen's expletives, I finally pulled up on the steering wheel from two sides while I had my son operate my air hammer with a punch end on it in the middle of the steering shaft. After much pulling and air hammering, the wheel finally popped off. It isn't easy under the best of circumstances. Good luck, Tom in TN
