With well rigs in NM (50s), problems were hot sun, dry air,little travel on tires to keep them "live". We either blocked up rig to take weight off, or removed wheels to store inside, and let a little air out. If outside (and when drilling) had light sheet-metal covers to keep sun off and splashing from baling, made to leave 5-6" space so hot metal not against tire. Also used a "rubber lubricant" every month or so. If boat trailer stored outside, blocking up and covering from weather could help, as well as rubber preservatives.
