Grass Eating Carp is what is used around here.

They live forever and don't repopulate in a pond.

They use about 6 per acre here.

And yes they do work real well.

Neighbor had them in his pond since built in '85
and last year had grass and scum and I asked what happened and he said the carp had finally died.

He replaced them this year.
