I have a similar problem, but with kildeer.3 years in a row she has laid in the same spot within 3" in my gravel driveway where two roads intersect. What a pain, even keep a wooden block that stays under the fence I put next to the nest so we dont run over them. But I let her and now she doesnt even move off the nest when we walk over.Last year she laid twice. This year they hatched and her and her mate took them across the road.A week later she started to make a new nest and I got rid of it.I will let them alone in the early spring, she sits on the eggs in the snow and rain so she earns it,but I cant take a second one during the summer.I have sdcided I will take the eggs away if she lays again this year but welcome back next year.
