Thanks guys for all the help. I built a compression tester by using an old injector so I stick it in the injector hole. I guess if you want to check it running you just run the motor on the other 3 cylinders & the forth is where you check the compression, right? I have been cranking it w. the battery so it's slow. I used all the same parts except for new rings & all the parts are at the max wear tolerance. The cam timing looks correct since I went through what each rocker is doing compared to the piston. There are no marks except for the injector gear which isn't installed yet. Thanks again. Jim Maloney 1969 Case 580 CK TLB
