Are you sure that is the law? I never heard in Michigan that you need an escort vehicle, all I know is that you need to have SMV and after dark you cannot be over 102 inches and you need lights. The owner of my Agco dealer got a $900 ticket from some state pig with nothing better to do (our twit govenor wants the money) because he was towing a mo/co down M-55 after dark and he even had flashers on it and he says you can get ticketed if you have a SMV and are going over 25 MPH. I was followed last summer for a couple miles at 2 A:M by a county mounty while I was driving my White and mower down the road, I think he was thinking about pulling me over but he never did.
