Thanks for taking the time to give your advice.

I have gone to some local tractor "fixer uppers" and havee been asking others the same question. Most all of them have told me that is likely a check valve in the lift controls and that it is not too hard of a fix for someone "experienced" And, most all of them have told me that I should probably have someone "experienced" work on the hyd lift b/c I would like not be able to get it back together myself.
