Thanks for the links and tips guys - I appreciate it. Always helps to find a board like this when you jump into a new project. Luckily, I'm also only a couple of miles from the Vista Steam Museum, and I'm sure I'm going to be looking through their archives. John - yep, mine's running the small ring turbo - the engine is the LDT 465-1D. Those really noisy ones are called "whistlers" by us historic military vehicle nuts. Usually found on the LDT 465-1C engines, but you can always put them on the later mills too. That 1D is plenty loud enough for me though :) Yep, that "new" rebuild (they actually completed that program back around '91, from what I recall) is the M35A3. Most of the deuces that you'll see, at least the later ones, are the M35A2 version, which is what I have. I'm currently getting enough tires to run those singles as a ten wheel model. Should be fun once all the sandblasting is done.
