War on musk thistle.

Do you guys have musk thistle to fight like we do here in eastern Iowa? Sprayed grass pasture with feild sprayer and now I'm taking a little break from spot spraying them with the 4 wheeler and 15 gal sprayer in the alfalfa grass pastures. Where did this menace come from we had no musk thistle 10 years ago maybe even just 6 years ago? I'm sick of doing this every year. Gary
