Story like this reminds me why when it comes to tractors it's best to see what it is in person rather than by the description in an ad or over the phone. Kind of like my 8N... ad said it didn't run but complete, so I call, get a description, sounds great. I can fix it I think. So I make an appt to go have a look see. When I get there after driving 100 miles, I find the seller left out one important part of the description. Tractor doesn't run AND it's in pieces. Atleast I was able to negotiate for a better deal. No friendship involved.

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
