I picked a number to make an example. it happened to be 40%. A salesman & dealership pockets less $$$ when selling a new $40,000 tractor v.s selling a new $100,000 tractor. A 6603 is not precious. It's just a very plain simple mechanical everything, no frills tractor. It's specs are closer to a 4020's than to a 6000 twenty tractor when compared. I'm well on my way to being an old coot too. Even though my GN was the latest, greatest and fastest from 1986 to 1990. It's engine is now pretty tame compared to the LS engine GM is putting in a plain boring pickup trucks. And that stock LS engine in the mid 90's Firebirds etc was 1-1/2 to 2 seconds faster than my GN. For some reason however I still want to think that my GN is "better". I've drove baling hay and straw starting at age 3 years, three months on the 60 pulling the 14T. dad would jump off the wagon at the end of the field and help me get the turns made. Then on the wagon behind the baler or in the barn's haymow slugging bales well before my teens.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
