I just got a piston loose in a one cylinder Fairbanks Morse engine that had been stuck for at least 20 years. I soaked it with ATF and chainsaw gas mix for over a month.It is a headless engine, so I could not get to the top of the piston.
I plumbed a grease fitting into the spark plug hole after filling the engine with ATF. After four pumps of my grease gun the flywheel started turning. Talk about a good feeling. The engine is over 90 years old by the way.
