I would say to the kid, I will give you 5 bucks IF--you pick up all the wood on the ground and then go to the wood pile and see if all the wood is picked up then give him the $5 and then go from task to task this way.
Second--his parents are probably idiots. The kid also needs some mentoring and common sense that the school(s) dont or cant teach.
