That is a special hitch for hooking up implements that were compatible with Massey Ferguson pressure control(traction booster) system. Implements like a disk had a cone instead of a regular hitch that slid into the piece on that is laying on the top. That mounted to the lower piece that was mounted on the 3 point hitch. All 100, 200 and 1000 series Masseys came with this option. I have movies of a similar rig on a 135 pulling a 30ft disk. You can gain tremedous traction but cause tremendous soil compaction. what you have ther looks like it goes on a 1080 or 1085.
